“I wish I could visit London!” – A simple dream from a 16-year-old girl battling a critical illness.
At AKL, we believe in the power of dreams. That’s why once again, we proudly took part in the Make-A-Wish Greece “Adopt A Wish” program, helping to turn a young girl’s dream into reality.
A few days ago, the Make-A-Wish team visited our headquarters and shared their incredible mission with us. Inspired, the AKL team joined forces to design the perfect London experience for a teenage girl—an experience filled with wonder, adventure, and joy.
What would be great to see? What to see first? Where to eat? How does a 16-year-old girl travel to London? Would the Harry Potter studios be something she’d like? How about Buckingham Palace? What else?
Suddenly our meeting room was full of energy and ideas to make this journey unforgettable. From that point on, the Make A Wish “fairies” were in charge of gathering and implementing all these ideas for a magical experience.
In the end, we asked the Make-A-Wish team if there is anything more we could do. Their answer? “The best thing you can do—even more than donating — is raising awareness so that more wishes can come true.”
