In a male-dominated sector, that of the legal profession, Helen has managed to stand out and become a role model for other women lawyers who want to advance professionally, accomplishing an inspiring journey, marked by her recent recognition as a "Star Individual" by Chambers and Partners for 2024 and her consistent inclusion in the prestigious "Legal 500 Hall of Fame” for Real Estate & Construction!
Helen, through the eyes of a woman/mother/lawyer, discussed the challenges of gender bias, unequal pay, and work-life balance, but also emphasized on the importance of attention to detail one must show not only in his work life, but also in everyday life.
She also had the chance to present what AKL does and how the company has evolved from a law office founded in 1891 by her great-grandfather to a modern law firm which safeguards the old family values and ethics, but also incorporates new and modern methods of work, hand in hand with technology and teamspirit.
